Ginni Thomas, conservative political activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, voluntarily met with the Jan. 6 committee this week and testified that she and her husband actively avoid talking about their work together . But on Friday’s episode of “The View,” the presenters didn’t buy a single word of it.
In her prepared statements to the select committee this week, Thomas said: “My husband has never spoken to me about pending cases in court. It’s an iron rule in our House,” noting that Judge Thomas was “not interested in politics.” As a result, “I don’t usually talk to him about my day-to-day work in politics, the issues I work on, who I call, email, text or meet.”
And while The View host Sunny Hostin noted that it might be okay if Judge Thomas didn’t care about politics, particularly because his decisions as a judge should be based on the rule of law rather than partisan ideas, she refused to agree believe and his wife does not talk about her work or who she communicates with.
“I think Ginni Thomas is a bit of a dirty liar,” Hostin said. “And the reason I’m saying that is because she’s like, ‘We don’t talk about politics. We’re not talking about the Supreme Court…'” Joy Behar then interrupted her and asked, “What are you talking about, ‘Dancing With the Stars’?”

But Hostin got back to her point, drawing on her own experiences in the legal system.
“She’s lying because – I was a trainee lawyer. And what happens when you graduate as a paralegal is that you keep in touch with all your former trainee lawyers. And you have all these threads, and when cases come up and stuff like that, in that particular court, you really pop up. You start going, ‘What was Judge Bell thinking, that was crazy!’”
Hostin brought this up because there is actually a thread between former employees of Judge Thomas — which his wife not only participates in, but “she plans family retreats for everyone” in it. Hostin also pointed out that one of those former employees is John Eastman, who was, of course, one of the key witnesses at the Jan. 6 hearings.
“So Ginni, come on girls,” Hostin said cheekily.
Host Alyssa Farah Griffin also admitted that she would call BS if Thomas claims the Thomases don’t discuss their work, arguing that Judge Thomas could at least ask his wife how her day was or if she did anything exciting – also on January 6th when his wife was in the Capitol.

“Is she a liar or does she belong to the cult?” Behar wondered. But host Ana Navarro had a blunt answer to that.
“Honey, she’s Cray Cray,” Navarro shot back. “It’s not hard to find out. First, because they don’t talk about politics, and they might not talk about legal cases They are those who talk about Bruno.”
Amid Behar’s apparent confusion, Navarro clarified that she was referring to the viral song from Disney’s “Encanto,” before opening up about her true thoughts about Ginni Thomas.
“I think she’s representative of people who are a bit radicalized or totally radicalized, who aren’t grounded in reality and who are crazy,” she said. “But I don’t think Ginni Thomas is a mastermind behind this conspiracy. I think she’s one of those pesky brakes that they had to deal with because she happens to be married to a Supreme Court Justice that they needed.”
