She may be a star, but Tamannaah Bhatia admits she’s a simpleton at heart. So much so that the idea of ​​fancy dinner dates stresses her out. Tamannaah, who recently starred in Season 2 of Swipe Ride hosted by Kusha Kapila, opened up about her dating preferences and even mentored someone in the arts. In Swipe Ride, Kusha rides around with a celebrity every episode as they try to help another person on how to go about their date. The most recent episode starred Tamannaah Bhatia, who will soon be starring as a matchmaker in her upcoming Netflix film, Plan A Plan B. “I’ve got a bit of experience[in matchmaking]now,” she joked on the show, adding, “I’ve actually had a brief exposure to the life of matchmaker.”

During the episode, Kusha and Tamannaah were joined by Pranjal, who asked for their help with their date. Discussing ideal dating settings, Tamannaah said she likes easy dates in the monsoons. Speaking about the rain outside, she said, “Today is actually the kind of day I would picture my kind of date.” The actress then revealed that she has an aversion to fancy dinner dates.

Discussing the reason behind this, she said: “I can’t go on fancy dates. I’m very bad at it. I’m very awkward with a fancy place. I am someone who has always eaten with my hands. So if you really have to hold a knife and fork and have to start with it (mimicking cutting food with cutlery), I find that too stressful.” Tamannaah added that if the other person doesn’t make them feel being sentenced, she would eat with her hands on dates. The show was created by Tinder India and the episode premiered on their YouTube channel on Thursday night.

Tamannaah has two releases lined up this month. She will first appear in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Babli Bouncer, out September 23 on Disney+ Hotstar. A week after that, she will see the release of Plan A Plan B, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Kusha. The film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, will be released on Netflix on September 30th.
