Kenya Moore, Jamie Lynn Spears, And Other Celebrities Join The New Survival Skills Show, Special Forces: The Ultimate Test


What happens when you take a bunch of random celebrities, throw them in an army fatigue and have them train like they’re going into the military? Well you get Fox’s brand new reality show, Special Forces: The Ultimate Test. The network recently announced its new survival skills show, and it sounds unusual but potentially entertaining.

Celebrities participating in a survival skills show are not uncommon here. In fact, this is not new territory at all. CBS just tried their show Beyond the edge, and it flopped. However there persons reports, Fox’s show promises to stand out with its militaristic theme. Led by a team of former Special Forces agents, the show promises to give its celebrities “some of the toughest, most grueling challenges in the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process.”

The cast is a smorgasbord of reality stars, athletes, actors you haven’t thought of in years, and a few folks who never miss an opportunity to be on TV. One of the most surprising faces in the cast is Jamie Lynn Spears. We all know she’s in dire need of some good PR after getting caught up in her sister’s super-public Conservator fight, but who would have expected her to end up here?

Also planned for the new show is Kenya Moore out The real housewives of Atlanta. If shadow casting is part of special forces training, she’ll do great. Other familiar faces from the reality TV universe include, among others Kate Gosselin, dr Drew Pinsky, Hannah Brown from The Bacheloretteand Chef Tyler Florence. The cast also includes Mike Piazza, Melanie “Mel B” Brown, Danny Amendola, Dwight Howard, Montell Jordan, Gus Kenworthy, Nastya Liukin, Carli Lloyd, Beverly Mitchelland Anthony Scaramucci.

Unlike most survival reality shows Special forces is more of an endurance test than a competition. The celebrities will not be tasked with eliminations or vote-outs. The sheer purpose is to complete the challenge. So the only way out is to stop.

Special Forces: The Ultimate Test is scheduled to premiere on Fox in January 2023.
