Goodbye to The Godfather: Movies Coming to Theaters in October 2022
These eight films will be released in October.

The theaters are finally coming out of their doldrums and are back in full glory!

The recent success of films such as Brahmastra, Sit Ramamand Thiruchitrabalam has proven that quality content reigns supreme and draws crowds to theaters.

October is also dotted with numerous fascinating films lined up in quick succession.

What more could a cinephile ask for?

Let’s dive in.

Chiranjeevis godfather and Akkineni Nagarjunas The ghost will be released on the same day, October 5th.

Both films mark the Tollywood superstars’ second theatrical appearances in the following year Acharya and Bangarraju, respectively.

Directed by Praveen Sattaru The ghost and it also plays Sonal Chauhan and Gul Panag while Mohan Rajas godfathera remake of LuciferCo-Stars Salman Khan (cameo) and Nayanthara.

Rashmika Mandanna’s foray into Hindi cinema, Vikas Bahl’s slice-of-life drama Goodbye Also starring are Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta and Sunil Grover, among others.

It will arrive on October 7, marking Big B’s third release of 2022.

Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah’s Long Belated Doctor G follows a week later, on October 14th.

The Dramedy is the first feature film by director Anubhuti Kashyap.

Cinegoers have their hands full with two more releases on October 14th: Codename: Tiranga and double XL.

Directed by Parineeti Chopra and Harrdy Sandhu, the high-octane action film was directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.

On the other hand, double XLheadlined by Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi, highlights the threat of body shaming and advocates for body positivity.

Directed by Satramm Ramani.

Two superstars – Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar – will compete this Diwali.

During Kumar’s adventure drama Ram Setu In theaters October 24, Devgn’s comedy-drama Thank God follows on October 25th.

Ram Setudirected by Abhishek Sharma, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha Thank God is directed by Indra Kumar and co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Preet Singh.
