Courtney Barnett Adds More Cowbell and Rips Through “Turning Green” on Seth Meyers: Watch

Courtney Barnett’s contribution adds more cowbell and tears through “Turning Green” on Seth Meyers: Watch appeared first on Consequence.

Courtney Barnett was the musical guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday September 19th and she delivered a rousing rendition of “Turning Green” from her 2021 album, Things take time, take your time.

Barnett brought more cowbelling to the performance, largely letting her guitar dangle from her shoulder as she kept time as the song’s groove unfolded. The final verse was cloaked in a lyrical “let go” of “ideas,” but that’s when the Aussie singer-songwriter came into full bloom with a sweeping guitar solo that lasted nearly two minutes. It began with a sinuous, hypnotic melody, slowly pulverizing the guitar into screeches of chaotic and cathartic distortion. Watch the performance below.
