Good bowling ladies

Central Queensland District Ladies Bowls

District Triples was played at the Diggers Club this week with eight competing teams. The final was played between a Diggers team of Thelly Wall, Bev Marshall, Denise Hoare and a Yeppoon team of Robyn Ross, Patricia Ward and Elly Batts. Congratulations to Thelly, Bev and Denise on reaching the finals and congratulations to the winners Robyn, Patricia and Elly.

The CQDLBA Division 1 Pennants was recently won by the Yeppoon Club, who will travel to Gladstone next week to battle teams from Gladstone and Bundaberg for a place in the State Finals to be played on the Gold Coast in November. Good bowling ladies.

No bowling was played on Tuesday as the club was closed and no electricity was available.

Victoria Park was defeated by Bargara Bowls Club 78-51 in the Zone 6 Pennants Finals played at Bundaberg Bowls Club last Sunday. Great effort from the team to make it this far.

Rockhampton and District Indoor Bowls

September 25 R&DIBA Teams Day American Tournament Bowls will be held at 9:30 am at Kent Street Hall, players must be at the hall by 9:00 am.

2nd October Small bowls on short mats will be held at Kent Street Hall, starting at 9.30am, names will be taken in the hall. Players must be in the hall by 9 a.m.

On October 9th, Port Curtis hosts the CQ Restricted Rinks at 9:30am. Members will travel there for the event.

October 16th is President’s Day Bowls. The Team Day American Tournament will be held at Kent Street Hall and will begin at 9:30am. The names will be written down in the hall, the players must be in the hall by 9.00 am.

On the 23rd October mixed singles bowls will be held at Kent Street Hall for a 9.30am start, names must be on the sheet in the hall. Players must be in the hall by 9 a.m.

Emu Park Indoor Bowls

Emu Park Indoor Carpet Bowls, every Tuesday afternoon 12.30pm for 1pm start.

$5 admission includes bowls, lifters and arms if required, afternoon tea and raffle tickets. End at 4:00 p.m.

Bowls are held at Emu Park Hall across from shops.

For Seniors Month in October, bowling is Come and Try Days and Free on all Tuesdays.

North Rockhampton Pensioners and Superannuants Indoor Bowls

North Rockhampton retirees and super annuants enjoy a morning of indoor bowling every Wednesday at Bauhinia House on the corner of High and Berserker Streets in North Rockhampton.

Enjoy a cup of coffee at 9:30am before the game starts at 10:00am.
